Fly-fishing and lure fishing can be enjoyed by all ages at our pond or on two miles along Willow Creek. All equipment is provided. For Orvis-endorsed on-ranch guided fly fishing, we offer half- or full-day sessions on our private stretch of Willow Creek. Additionally, half- or full-day trips are available on private stretches of neighboring water, such as the Colorado and Fraser Rivers. Guests of C Lazy U have the opportunity to catch rainbow, brown, and brook trout while wade fishing. Inquire at the Outfitters Cabin.

Mountain Bikes & Guided Biking

mountain bikers

With mountain bikes available for all sizes and experience levels, guests can explore the C Lazy U trails in a whole new way. Check out a trail map in the Outfitter’s Cabin and ride solo or sign up for a guided tour. Please note, bikes are known to spook horses so we ask that guests ride during non-trail riding times (summer months this is before 9:30, between 11:30-1:00, and after 3:30) and always walk your bike past horses tied to a manger.

Ropes Course & Zip Line

Check out the challenging (and fun!) ropes course and zip line. Sessions are facilitated daily by our certified instructors. The challenge course consists of a rock wall, vertical play pen, and leap of faith finished off by zipping over the river on our 375 foot zip line. This activity is complimentary during Summer Family weeks.

Hiking & Guided Hiking

Lazy You Yoga – Friday
An hour beginner’s level seated yoga class that mainly consists of basic stretching, breathing exercises, and meditation to reduce back pain and stress. The class is held on Latigo Room deck or in the wine cellar when it rains.

Glamping

Arrive at a scenic remote location to a roaring fire and a Conestoga Wagon outfitted with one king bed, twin-size bunk-bed and a table for two. Propane heaters, plush linens, electric lighting and a s’mores kit make this experience unforgettable. Sign up in the Outfitter’s Cabin. Complimentary during Summer Family Weeks.

Snowmobile Tours

Throughout the winter months enjoy our pristine snow covered landscape on a guided snowmobile tour. Two-hour tours are available twice daily. All equipment is provided and your guide will navigate you through some of Colorado’s finest country. To minimize our impact on the peaceful winter surroundings, our tour capacity is limited to a maximum of four snowmobiles. All snowmobiles are “touring” models, meaning that they are equipped to seat either one or two people. We also operate four-stroke engine snowmobiles, which have been determined by the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) to be more environmentally friendly. Please note snowmobiling is an additional cost.

Snowshoeing

Snowshoeing is a great exercise and a wonderful way to explore the ranch in the wintertime, either on your own or with a guide. Strap on a pair of snowshoes and roam the meadow on groomed trails or plan a more invigorating tour and tackle steep packed snowy terrain. Snowshoeing is available anytime and snowshoes are complimentary for guests. Sign up for a guided tour and a trail guide will customize the best route for your skill level.
