Spending the holidays at C Lazy U is the perfect way to enjoy time with your family, experiencing all the winter activities and traditions the ranch has to offer.
Thanksgiving
Spend time with your family this Thanksgiving at the C Lazy U! Already known for our fabulous meals, the C Lazy U chefs really spice it up for Thanksgiving. Enjoy traditional favorites like turkey (each table gets their own bird and you can even carve it yourself!), mashed potatoes, green beans, cranberries, and pie! You’ll also get to enjoy the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade and football games on the big screen in the Patio House.
In the evenings spend time with family, enjoying live music by the fire, competing for the coveted Golden Horseshoe in a corn-hole tournament, or watch our Christmas tree lighting ceremony after Thanksgiving dinner.
Christmas
It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and C Lazy U doesn’t skimp when it comes to Christmas cheer. Each cabin comes furnished with a Christmas tree your family can decorate. We take decking the halls seriously! You’ll find garland and lights everywhere, turning the ranch into a winter wonderland.
Not only does the ranch look beautiful covered in snow, but there are endless winter activities your family can enjoy. Take a snowmobile tour, strap on snowshoes, or take a winter fat bike for a spin and explore the ranch. At 4:00 p.m. lace up your skates for a rousing pick-up game of ice hockey.
To top off a week of fun, Santa visits the ranch on Christmas Eve. His sleigh is pulled by draft horses and he comes with gifts for every guest!
Additional activities celebrating many years of C Lazy U western holiday tradition include the children’s program, gingerbread house decorating contest, trimming the lodge tree and singing carols, live music, and a traditional Christmas feast.
New Year’s Eve
We might not have a glittering ball that drops at midnight, but we know how to celebrate the New Year—western style. Strap on your dancing boots and join us in the indoor arena for a balloon drop and a live band that will rock the house. There will be two countdowns: at 10:00 and 12:00 so even the early birds can enjoy ringing in the New Year.
New Year’s week also includes a full children’s program, as well as dog sledding, and a slew of winter activities.
