Our Owners

The Singleton and Bailey-Stanford Families

The C Lazy U Ranch is one of the few remaining places where you can experience the traditions of the American West. The ranch has been family-owned since its inception and our goal is to help families create memories that will last a lifetime. Owners, Dean & Adrienne Singleton and Don Bailey & Leslie Stanford, want to provide a place where families can gather together on their Colorado vacation in a spirit of adventure and camaraderie, far from the stresses of daily life.

Preservation of over 8,500 acres of spectacular landscape is key to protecting the traditions ingrained in the luxury guest ranch experience for more than 100 years. Eagles soar over lush meadows, elk graze on the upper mesa, and moose roam through the willows along a meandering creek. Our owners work closely with The Nature Conservancy to ensure lasting protection of wetlands and wildlife habitat on several ranch parcels. A portion of the ranch operation is conducted on the Arapahoe National Forest under a special use permit from the U. S. Bureau of Land Management and the U. S. Forest Service.  These efforts ensure that the ranch will preserve the traditions of the Great American West and the natural grandeur of this breathtaking scenery to help make your C Lazy U ranch vacation unique and memorable.

The Singleton and Bailey-Stanford families consider themselves stewards of the land and they have two primary objectives:

  1. To create a business model that allows the ranch to sustain itself from one year to the next.
  2. To preserve and protect the land for future generations to enjoy.

Your decision to visit the C Lazy U Ranch helps us to achieve these noble goals and we are sincerely thankful.  We hope that the ranch will be as transformative an experience for you and your family as it has become for the Singleton and Bailey-Stanford families and that your visit here is just the beginning of a multi-generational tradition.
